Advised by tech that one of the motor mounts was leaking. Repair cost including wheel alignment is approx $1000. Question, does this price sound about right? Understand repair is labor intensive. Comments? Tks!
04-06 GTO's have liquid filled motor mounts that are prone to leaking so he's probably thinking of those. But $1,000 for motor mounts that probably aren't even shot?
I don't recall when we put solid motor mounts in my car that it affected the wheel alignment in any way. They can be done by a good tech on a lift and lifting the motor.
I pretty sure the C6 may have some fluid in the mounts (serious) but not a C5.

I feel sorry for you Corvette owners that take your cars to shops. Holy ****. I just replaced a motor mount in my daily beater, $20 bucks and a half an hour and its good as new. $1000? They are trying to go in dry on you.
