Custom Badge... your thoughts

I thought about adding LS1 badges a few years ago, however talked myself out of it after seeing a few in person. I also like the clean lines.
I personally think the badges you displayed will only bring out the worst in people, other drivers and other Corvette owners. I mean, why does another C5 have to be a Z06 killer?
There is a member on this forum called Blitzkrieg who has a C5 vert that is basically stealth and is completed loaded up from a HP standpoint. He could probably give any Z06 a run for its money, but the beauty is that he's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I want the badge more for the none corvette owner.
My original plan was to just put z06 badges... but the corvette world
does not like that. It seems the z06 is a holy grail and not to be copied or reproduced.
Strangely I like the look of them. I think a shiny chrome badge just looks better.

I am thinking about getting some custom badges made for my coupe.
I am very surprised at how many average people look for a z06 badge.
And or know what a z06 is. Yes, i am shallow and it bugs me.
I did not buy a z06 because I did not want a fixed roof.
Not because I could not afford one.
My car is or will be better then a stock z06 in all ways. Everything a z06
has will be added to my car or made better then a base z06.
So I want to know what you all think about a badge like this one.
The fonts are just a mockup... the guy making them can get the fonts
to look correct.

We all own a Vette ... It to me does not matter if you have more horsepower than me or if your car looks better than mine .... I just wanna find a shade tree get out the lawn chairs and talk cars ....

I think a badge is sometimes a statement that can be tasteful, and others can be tasteless. ultimately the choice of statement is in the hands of the owner, but the view of the statement is in the eye of the beholder.

It's like trashing your brother. I think of all Corvettes as being in the same family...and I'm not one for arbitrarily bashing my brethren. Just my 2 cents...but you did ask for our thoughts.

Of course a stock Z06 is not going to win a race against 20k modded base vette. What's your point?

I don't see any thing special about a Z06, but apparently GM marketed them well. I just want something to make people take notice and stop saying, "eh... it just a base".

Its your car, just be ready to take the good with the bad as far as real world comments go.I have been to a lot of car shows and don't recall a lot of its just a base comments but hey..its a cool badge

Nice badges although I dont know that Id use them on my car.
Ive heard and feel ya though on " its just a base".
Gets old, and it is a Vette. Im not at your level but still well beyond stock Z06 level.
At the time "coupe " was my favorite body style & had major input towards which C5 to purchase. I say put the badge on your toolbox & let the rest do the talking.....
