Well, I talked to Dennis this afternoon. I'm pulling the stock head unit (with a cassette no less) out and 12 disk CD player and replacing it with a Kenwood at Dennis's recommendation. Nothing high end and hightech fancy. A single din Kenwood KDC-X797.
Man, you guys are right. Can't find a nicer guy who only wants to sell what "fits" you, not the newest "bestest" thing out. Had a real nice discussion with him and looking forward to getting the unit.
Don't know why I waited so long...
Probably a dang good thing it is such a long way to his shop...
I will second that recommendation, have never found DD Mods to be less completely upfront, honest and helpful. Anything you want to purchase or need after sales support is never a problem.
I agree with you guys on what you say about Dennis, I am waiting on a sinle din Pioneer receiver from him, cheapest one but serves my need, I also ordered a filler plate and DD contacted me and told me one was included with the receiver, saving me a few dollars, Dennis give excellent customer service!!!
I too must say Kudo's to Dennis as well. I spoke with him last week & ordered wheels, exhaust, & coil overs. he was VERY knowledgeable & pleasant to talk to.
You ain't lyin' Jack. Seems like a guy you'd just like to hang out with too. Even though phones were ringing in the background, he was in zero rush to get off the phone. And it wasn't faked either. He truly wanted to take the time to *listen* to my likes and wants to ensure he provided a product targeted to my specific desires, no more, no less. Really rather amazing in this day and age of sell the highest priced items that you can at most any cost.
I tried to tell the boy that he needed to hire me part time for come chit but he drew the line there.... lol Can't hold that against him though.
