Thats a lot of stuff and a really nice build but there a lot there you don't NEED. Not sure what kind of money you are looking to spend on this but here are some links of the route I went for a simple cam swap...

Thanks for the advise. My car is a street car that gets driven only on weekends. So I don't care how it drives as much as someone that daily drives theirs to work 5 days a week. With that being said, I want it to make around 420-450 and sound nasty. I would like to get a can that has a wide power band, not just 6500-7000 type cam. I don't want to fly cut pistons. I want to build it to be reliable, fast and some what dependable. I already have all the major bolt ons like long tubes, cold air ect... I do all my work myself since my dad is a tech for gm. He is just old school and thinks I should have left it stock so asking him is out of the question. I know I need oil pump, timing chain, pushrods, valve springs, retainers, seals, all that stuff. I am going to change the lifters since the car has some mileage on it and wanted to mill the heads a little bit and port/polish them with a fast intake. I just don't know what brand/type of these parts are the best for these cars.
That parts list looks good to me but obviously if he has all the tools then you can take those off, plus the tune and wires. Everything else is what I would get plus the tools.
I say take off the tune since I don't know if the OP is doing his own tuning or it may be more or less than 520.
OP, you know your budget just went kaboom when you said remove the heads? If you find a doctor for this disease let me know.
