Cannot blame you for the C7 move. That thing is one beautiful beast!

I want to see them up close and personal, but I am afraid my check book and retirement account would not like me to take such a trip!

I've seen four in person so far...pics dont do the car justice...its badass. Interior materials are huge leap over c5&6. I talked to Jim Mero extensively about the performance and ability of the car...he will go on and on about it. The c7Z is mine the day it comes out. The Z51 equipped car tempts me but...I need a z06.

Can't blame you and I plan to do the same. I love that C7. It's the first car that made me want to get rid of my C5.

Well, that's nice...I plan to get one too, however, I'll still participate in the C5 forum because I can still help people out here. Why do you look at it as a one-sided entity? So, in your time here you never learned anything that you could give back to the forum? Nothing personal, but it always baffles me when people say they are gone for good....

C7's are awesome - I get it, but can't afford it.
Good luck!

Believe me, I'll still be buzzing the C5 forums. I have no intention of not coming back, actually. But for the past 4-5 months I've been on the C7 forums like crazy (mostly because of anticipation for the car and serious curiosity). However, the C7 forums at this point are filled with trolls and a lot of trash talk at the moment. I love the C5 forums because it's people who are just genuinely into the cars and not trying bash each other and their opinions. Trust me, I'm going to be all over both forums still. I just wanted to say thank you to the C5 section for always being there with good information. Thanks to this forum and all that I've read on it, I'm the resident C5 expert in my area.

Glad to hear it! Yes, the C7 forum currently has tons of energy, but no where for it to go!

LOL! That about sums it up.

Funny thing is that I was really hoping the majority of that forum would be real enthusiasts. But what I came to find was that a very big chuck of the activity on that forum is just anti-corvette people, bitter recent C6 owners and a few bitter C5 owners. Lots of energy, hardly anything supportive from anyone other than the people who genuinely plan to own a C7 at any point.

Just for ***** and giggles, I went into the C6 section to read the topics about the C7. A few good things to say, but lots of threads saying that the C7 was a "downgrade". LOL

I'll very happily take my "downgrade".
