I have a 2K coupe that is completely stock. It has the stock wagon wheels. After lurking here for a couple of years, I am convinced to trade in my run flats for Hankook tires. I have factory wagon wheels right now and am looking to upgrade to chrome wheels. Here is my question; I currently have Michelin ZP 275/40 ZR18 99Y on the back and Michelin ZP 245/45 ZR17 95Y on the front. Can I buy 18x9.5 and 19x 10 without having to modify or do I need to stick with 17 x 9.5 and 18 x 9.5?

As said above they will work with the correct offsets, Also keep in mind you have to have a difference in tire diameter of somewhere .5 to 1 inch front to rear or you will have TC issues.
I am not sure of the offset. To be honest, I don't really know exactly you are talking about (not much of a mechanic). Here is the wheel I was looking at, didn't see anything about an offset.

First of all the 2000 C5 did not come with wagon wheels. if you want to buy new wheels and tires you can go with 18 and 19 " using the same fitment as a C6, you can also go with 19's all the way around. they only made wagon wheels in 97, 98, 99

Those should be correct because they are for the C5, But double check with the seller. Also when you do get a new set of wheels make sure they are TPMS friendly.

Wagon wheels look like this
Just goes to show you how much of a novice I am. Thank you for the info and picture. I just don't want to but new wheels that won't work. It sounds like as long as I find out if these wheels are TPMS friendly they will work.
A genuine Thank You to 8vette7, Mr. Bill and Evil-Twin for all of your assistance. It is kind of embarrassing to know so little about my vette, but it is great to have forum members that are so helpful without making novice's like myself feel stupid. I really appreciate the time and advice.

Yes! You can go wider!
Most wheel companies have the C5 Corvette proper or correct offsets standard when you select your wheel -
You should be fine, especially when you buy from a Corvette Vendor -
Look at Mid America's Wheel section and you will see the proper offsets listed - you can use these as a good source of reference! http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-1-296.html
They are listed very nice in their Catalog they send you!
just put wheels and tires on my 01 vert, went with 18-19 combo, with hankooks. 18x8.5 and 19x10, tires were 245/40/18 front, 285/35/19 rear, fit great, ride so much better than run flats. no issues.
