I like the idea of led brake lights for the rear bumper vents... My tails are tinted and I'd like something as a bit of extra insurance that I'm seen

I could build something like that pretty easily using the same style setup for the tiger shark reverse lights. On a scale of 1-10 how interested would you be in this project?

I'd put my interest at a 7... It's not something I HAVE to have immediately, but one can never have too much visibility!

Would be very interested in the "no key, push button start and light up interior on approach feature".

That would run down your battery and you'd have to find a path through all the fried corpses of people who couldn't read or chose to ignore the "high-voltage" signs.

light up interior on approach is an option on the DIC. Adding additional lights (ex: exterior door handle LEDs, or puddle lights) are soon to be added to the website as both are on my car.

The Keyless entry/push-button start alarm system is currently being researched.

Okay I am a 10 on the push start feature that would be way cool for my C5 as for the 4 vents on the rear of the car. I took some 4 buld red led's and mounted them with 3m tape the only problem is the light points down not out so they would need to be side mount. So they light up towards the guy behind you interest on these 10. I would also like to see them work as turn signals and a little lighter for running lights then hell of brite for brakes and I would like that. I would want the turn signal when on they would go left to right then right to left. I will post pictures of what I have done this weekend

George what ever you come up with will be cool

The biggest single need I know of is a direct, bolt-on replacement speaker for the front. Once they blow out, there's nothing you can get to replace them except another expensive, crappy, stock speaker or go the whole expensive rip out/replace route with new aftermarket head, amp and ill-fitting speakers.

This would be quite easy to build. I'll get started on the prototype.

To take Toque's idea one step further....how about combining this and ghost-lites....

Might be doable, but the picture would appear warped. even at a slight angle the image gets horribly distorted. Tried this on a Suburban. The mirrors were off parallel with the ground by maybe 5 degrees and the bowtie emblem was already getting distorted. I can't imagine how it would look at 60+ degrees.

This requires significant body work even for a small LED option. The back side however wouldn't be too difficult as one could use an LED strip in the gap between the mirror and the housing. I may try this to see what happens and I'll keep you guys updated.

Take a look at this thread and see what you think. Cool concept, but I agree with the comments that the lights seem to overwhelm the mirror housings. Maybe you could come up with something better?

Best i can do is a form-fitting LED bar-style option that would wrap around the contours of the mirror. Drilling into the mirror housing would be required for mount and to run the wires. Sounds like an interesting project. I"ll see what I can come up with.

I would like a LED light option to accent/give some light to the area behind the seats on the FRC/Z06, i have a partition installed and there is no option for light for the area between it and the seats.

Being a easy install would make this a 10/10 in my book.

I'd be in for this one if the strip was thinner than the example in the other thread - the lines of the car and the shape of the mirrors make would make this mod look factory and more modern IMO....cool idea
