Static from radio

Static from radio
I have a constant hum comming from the rear speaker. When the radio is on it sounds ok until i push the brake or use the turn signal. Then it just goes to loud static. I hate that i cant use my radio. I just mainly use CD's because there is no issue here. I have not made any modifications to the audio system. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this. I dont want to tear anything apart because i am unsure of what I am doing. It sounds like a bad ground to me...thank you for any help

I would agree, it does sound like a bad ground. Check the stickies and the links in the "buying a ...." post. In any download that includes the "Tech" documents there's a document describing the ground points on a C5.
As for getting to the radio, I just replaced my stock head unit and will a bit of help it's really not bad.
