Where to put jack stands?

Where to put jack stands?
I assume under axles on rear end, but not sure on front. If jacking up to remove a tire, is it OK to set stand next to jacking point on frame rail?

I put the jack stands where the light green points are in post #2.

Oh 2 Fun, did you just roll that jack under your pipes or did you have to drive up on blocks to get enough clearance?

Two things....
1. Low profile jack from Harbor Freight
2. Look closely and you can see the 2x12 boards I drove up on.
I cut them at an angled "V" so the center of the tire catches the leading center edge and they don't scoot while yer driving up on them.

Here's an older pic that shows the boards....not a big deal but it makes the move smoother......IMHO.....
Ha....no center exhaust plate in this pic either...
