Keys don't work
Each remote keyless entry transmitter is coded to
prevent another transmitter from unlocking your vehicle.
If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be
purchased through your dealer. Remember to bring any
remaining transmitters with you when you go to your
dealer. When the dealer matches the replacement
transmitter to your vehicle, any remaining transmitters
must also be matched. Once your dealer has coded the
new transmitter, the lost transmitter will not unlock your
vehicle. Each vehicle can have a maximum of three
transmitters matched to it.
To match transmitters to your vehicle:
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Clear any warning messages on the Driver
Information Center (DIC) by pressing the
RESET button.
3. Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC several
times until the blank page is displayed, then press
and hold the RESET button for two seconds.
4. When the message FOB TRAINING is displayed,
press the RESET button once. The message HOLD
LK + UNLK 1ST FOB in the DIC will be displayed.
5. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the
first transmitter simultaneously for five seconds.
6. When a transmitter is learned (matched), the DIC
will display FOB LEARNED and then prompt you
to learn the second transmitter.
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the third transmitter.
8. Remove the key from the ignition.
The programming mode will shut off if any of following
has occurred:
You don’t program any transmitters for two minutes.
You take the key out of the ignition.
You have programmed three transmitters.
IF you follow this procedure and it doesnt work, your fob has a bad battery OR it isnt working OR both. If you have tire pressure readings, the RFA is working properly and sending data to the BCM.
Please let us know how you make out on your FOB Programming.
Once you TRAIN your FOBs to your c5,, you can perform a FOB SYNC Procedure by pressing and HOLDING the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the FOB until the horn toots.
I assumed you were talking about your key FOB loosing its programming. But if the actual keys had been changed then there is a resistor type pellet in the key that has to be the correct resistance for the key to work.

That's typically what you receive from the guys and gals at this site. This place is probably one of the best resources that you could of found for Vettes. Searching either here or the other sections usually will turn up something related to whatever the problem is.
