so I have a 3rd to 4th gear grind in my car...it does have fresh fluid amsoil torque drive, but it still grinding, I have followed the how to on adjusting the shifter, but it still does it. I am just at a crossroad on if I should pull my transmission or not..
so with that said I am thinking its time to pull the transmission and have it fixed. I am pretty confident that I can do this my self, just a bit nervous is all..i have several how to's saved, but any other advise I can get on what all I should do while the drivetrain is removed from the car...its a 2003 Z06 44k miles.
To do yourself: do your torque tube bushings and replace the seals on the differential half-shafts. Oh yeah, have plenty of jacks and a few jack stands. The transmission craddle has an awkward weight to it too btw.
