Default Texas Road Trip

Our trip didn't start too well. Spent a few hours cleaning Vetticia up last weekend so she would look good for the trip. Tried to beat the rain out of Central Arkansas Thursday afternoon to keep her clean. Worked great for about 30 miles, then drove about 100 miles in nothing but road spray off 18 wheelers. Couldn't even get a rain to wash that crap off.

Spending the night in Mesquite and its on to San Antonio with a stop in Austin for my bride to visit a friend from high school she hasn't seen in 40 years, thanks Facebook........

Speaking of my bride, today May 31st is our 10th Anniversary which is one reason for the trip.

We made it from Central Arkansas to Mesquite in 4 hours. I checked the trip thingy when we got here. 72 mph average speed and 28 mpg. Not too bad for old folks in an old car.

Thanks James........I thought about you as I came through Sulpher Springs and wondered if that was where you exit to go to your house. Was thinking you might help me wash that crap off my car.
