Looking to cut down the wind and noise on road trips. The Vettenet seems to be the one that looks the most like it is part of the car and installation and removal appear very easy. I would be interested in any feedback from those that have used them as to effectiveness and if they caused "any" damage to the car finish!
They do a good job. They cut at least half the wind out. I'm glad I bought mine
They are a little spendy I found mine on fleabay for $130.00 no paint damage so far. by the way it's mounts, I can't see any damage happening. If your not in a big hurry and don't mind searching the web, I'd go for it. Or you can see if the forum vendors are having any sales
Yes, it does work and no it would not cause any paint damage - the mounting brackets go under the hatch and not on any painted surfaces.
A couple of things I have learned:
Get a storage bag to keep from scratching the vette net or it scratching anything else (when not on the car).
Decide how you want to use it - it takes a minute or two to install and remove - not bad but it becomes a hassle if you put it on for every little trip around town. It's great if you have a garage and never drive in the rain - just leave the top down and vette net in place.
I use mine on cruises and any Interstate travel and it definitely works.
Thanks to both "rdwiv" and "rbrumm" for your feedback. I was wondering if the storage bag was worth the $59, but it sounds as though it might be wise to include it. Thanks again!
Yes they work fine. I had the Windscreen but I go tired of the back and forth of taking it off. Check out the WindRestrictor option from Chip at CCA. This is what I changed to and really like:
