1st attempt at do it yourself oil change - Failed...
I bought myself a set of Rhino Ramps for the front and built a small ramp made out of 2 - 2x10's for the rear.
The front spoiler hit the Rhino Ramps, plus the Rhino Ramps slid on a clean garage floor. End of Rhino Ramp experiment for me.
Looks like a set of RaceRamps will be in order...

Jack the car up and put the rhino's under the tire. Then do the same in the rear. But make sure the front is lower because the oil drains from the front of the pan.

We have a great Father's Day promotion that just started today. If the bundle deal does not appeal to you we also have a 10% off store wide discount on $200 orders. Plus Race Ramps has a $20 cash rebate promo until 30-jun.

I drive straight up onto my rhino ramps and I crush the air dam every time, yet somehow the thing still works. 3+ years later, still on my the factory original
My point is, Chevy designed that thing out of crappy FLEXIBLE plastic because they knew it was gonna take a beating in some places. Here in LA, despite how careful I am and the routes I take, it WILL scrape. Some of it just sounds bad too, like, horrifying. Yet every time I check for damage (on my back with a flashlight and everything) what do I find? Nothing

I have the Rhino ramps and have no issues, What you have to do is have a couple of 2X6 or 2X8 about 10 inches long and drive your car on the wood before going on the ramps, What was happening to you is your front air dams was pushing the ramps before your wheel hit them to hold in place. Try this and you will have a lot better luck using the ramps you have, Also make sure you jack up the rear higher than the front seeing the drain plug faces the front. My C5 is lowered.
Good luck.

Race Ramps has more than 60 different ramp models. You may be able to make a few of the models with 2x12s. But since 2x12s weigh 4 pounds per lineal foot, they will be very heavy. Especially if you build them 8" to 10" high. Wood ramps will have virtually no resale value. In contrast lightweight Race Ramps are easy to handle and have excellent resale value making the TOC very reasonable.

Success!
I backed up onto the Rhino's in the rear and the 2-2x10's in the front. Basically reversed the the procedure from the first attempt.
Added another 2x10 block in the front so it's 3 high and all is good!!
I can't believe how small that oil filter is!
Thanks for the help!!!

Just get the Race Ramps...they are lightweight geofoam...you can pick one up with your pinky...no tripping hazard too.
Also, no one seems to remember to do this but you can remove your front spoiler left and right contraptions and not affect your temperature in the least...mine have been off for years and no change in coolant temp....this seems to be highly ignored, but it works....I never scrape ANYWHERE now and I like it that way...I run at 196* F all day long. And the car looks much better without them.

I do find a 2ft long piece of wood before the ramps helps them from sliding.
