Long time Corvette owner (20 years), recent forum member, been PMing some of you but this is my first post. You guys have been good to me so far. For my 1998 coupe, I used the forum to retrofit a HUD, fix a headlight motor gear and fix a rocking seat. Thanks to all! Next, I hope the forum will help me sell the '98. Now the forum helped me find a new ride and realize my long time desire for a convertible. Just got home from Georgia with my new-to-me 2001 pewter vert last night. Been to DMV and got state inspection done this morning. Now let the good times begin. Here are a few pics.

Very nice! I'm curious since I recently discovered this on my car. There is a support post just behind the drivers and passengers windows for the convertible top. Sometime take a look to see if there are 2 screw points that extend thru the post towards the fabric of the top. I had a new top put on and the first time I put the top the down I had 2 puncture wounds thru the new fabric and come to find out the OEM screws were too long and did the damage. So, it appears somewhere later than your and my year cars GM discovered and shortened the screws. If yours stick past the post you have time to pull them, or otherwise protect the top before they poke. Anyway, congratulations on your purchase.
