I know alot of people make these themselves out of wood. The metal fabricated adjustable ones seemed hard to find.
Just wanted to give a heads up that Harborfreight now carries them. Picked one up the other day for 39.99. It bolts to there floor jacks in place of the saddle... so its not spinning around when trying to position the jack under the car.

Sadly, it doesn't appear to work with my 3 year old low profile jack I got from HF. That uses a steel pin, not bolt to attach the saddle. I'll be picking up a 2nd low profile jack. $$$

Toolz Unlimited sells the same thing 39.99 with a bolt .
Has anyone used one of these yet? If I remember from the old posts, the Northern Tool crossbeam was a little too wide for the rear of the
C5. Just wondering if I have to shorten the crossbeams any.

I used it to change my exhaust over the weekend. It would of been better if it was a little shorter but the pads do line up ok with the rear. The rear crossmember wasnt centered on the pads but it wasnt like it was hanging over the edges either.

The crossbeam is adjustable, but doesn't shorten enough to match the recommended lifting points. The problem is where to put the jackstands. Unless you put them under the crossbeam itself, trapping it in place, there isn't room to put the stands outside of the beam. I have thought of shortening the crossbeam, but haven't got out to the garage to measure how much to cut. It should be easy to trim a couple of inches off the beam to allow room for jackstands.
Width fully contracted fit exactly under the jacking points that i used with the jack stands, right under the lower control arm mounts.
I now just put one set of stands at the side rails at the puck locations, remove the jack then put the other stands at the front crossmember/arm location and lower to them.
