For me, it was these little bastards. $11 + Tax and S&H for two pieces of rubber no bigger than a nose booger!

The one on my bass control had a crack/split when I bought my car... During my last road trip it broke the rest of the way into 2 pieces and fell off. Not sure how it cracked to begin with but your **** coming off doesn't surprise me. Good luck.

I just clamped a small pair of vicegrips on mine to tune it since losing the *** (just kidding).
After seeing that price I think I might be proactive and put a drop of hot glue on mine.

Sony and Pioneer used to be very proud of their radio ***** to way back when. I remember the wholesale cost of some **** sets were up around $60.00 to $70.00 for 5 *****. Then tac on 30% for the dealer... $14.00 for an original **** sounds about right. At least within reason...
