i keep getting these codes on my car
there both the lean codes for both banks and i believe it is from the vararam vr-b2 but i have the halltech honeycomb for the maf sensor which is supposed to eliminate that... i check it with my scanner when the cel is not on and it usually says *pending i definatly dont wanna be driving the car when it saying its running lean cuz i dont wanna be messing up the motor from lean conditions.. is there any other way to get rid of these codes? i checked all the connections and tightened the clamps to the intake and there still popping up after driving around town all day usually towards the end of the day but still popping up...
anyone have any answers?
halltech trap??
ill double check the connections again and clean the maf and see what it does...
im wondering if a tune will fix the problem maybe send my ecu in and get it tuned for the intake maybe get a little more ponies?
did you check for leaks? carb cleaner around the connections to see if you do have a leak anywhere. allways good to check all your vac lines as well, something might have came loose when installing the intake. old rubber vac connectors get hard and easily split you may have had a lean issue before the intake was installed but not enough to triger a light. Do you have any way to scan the car..? that will tell you what is going on.. most likely just need a tune BUT never forget to check and double check all connections and vac sources. Any other work done recently, Intake manifold come off for anything?
Wash the air filter and very very lightly re-oil, reset codes and see if they return. I had a similar problem with an over oiled filter element. It kept re-contaminating the MAF after I cleaned it.
Just washed the filter and didn't install any oil to see if that was an issue if it still comes on I will re oil it or if it doesn't come back I will lightly oil it ... Checked all the connections and they were good
The oil can contaminate the m.a.f. from the air filter, as others have posted make sure you do not have a small vacuum leak, snorkel clamps are tight no cracked ribs.

Cleaned air filter, MAF, TB, Seafoam, I checked for vacuum leaks, I did it twice, and with brake cleaner spray. All was tight, clean, and vacuum free, and kept happening. I even added a bottle of cata-clean, and it happened again.
I switched gas from Shell to Chevron, and it stopped.
Why?
I have no idea, but it has been two months code free.
