Hi All,
I want to put a murial on the underside of my hood but naturally the insulation is in the way. I have seen photos where the insulation has been removed and wonder if there are any consequences with this. i.e. heat build up under the hood or through it to the top side etc.
My worry is the decals on the top side of the bonnet (Indy Pace Car) and that the heat may lift them.
Has anyone removed the insulation and if so, were there any bad side effects?

I ran a Motor City Mold hood for a number of years on the '00 I had and it did not have any insulation blanket on it. No adverse effects to paint or underside of hood.
Its your car do what you want. But when I think of it I just think old guy and tacky chrome. That's just MY opinion which means nothing. You mod how you like
