I have a 2000 Corvette and the check engine codes come on non stop. There are not any mechanical or performance issues with the car and I know how to reset the codes. The codes return within 30 minutes. Does anyone know how to disable the check engine light, whether it be by tuner, removing the bulb or any other process? It is driving me crazy, to the point of not wanting to drive the car at all.
I dont think you want to disable it even if you can! Find the problem and fix it. It's probably something simple, but ignored could turn into something big (read expensive). What are the codes that keep reappearing? Do they show Current or History?
You can not disable a check engine light anymore, even if you took out the bulb( which could be more work than fixing the real problem) the computer will still have a code and your car will not pass an emissions test.get the codes, look up their meaning and fix the problem.
mine has said Service Vehicle Soon since 50,000 miles.....it has over twice that now....a couple tunes and a new motor build and that fkin message won't go away

Was dat mission test y'all talk 'bout. Don't you jus pay the $20 an git dat 2 year sticker like down here in da Bayou State?
I am saying that maintenance of my family, home and car is my business not that of the government. Thank God I live in a place where that is still so. My apology to the poster we are so far off topic!
A yellow check engine light is gonna be emissions related. Sensors, gas cap, catalytic converter, that kind of stuff. Maybe, with luck, just a connector that has come loose.
with the other posters. Pull the codes and post them here. Include the H or C or HC that follows each 5 character code. Here's how if you don't know how:

Good luck pulling the codes and then resolving the problem.
