I had one installed on my C5Z. It was crazy short but very notchy. After the antivenom mod (2 washers) it was a lot smoother but felt kind of lazy like wouldnt return to the center as fast or easy. Replaced it with an MGW, no antivenom mod and 100% happy.
I have a Hurst Short shifter and love it. I will say there is a brief "break in" period where you learn the feel of the shifter. Here it is in nut shell:
1) Applying no pressure to shifter, moving up brings you into 3rd. Moving down brings you into 4th
2) A little pressure applied to the left and forward upward action puts you in second and downward action puts you into 2nd.
3) For 5th and 6th, same as item #2 above except pressure is applied to the left before placing into gear.
Playing with it after 5 minutes and I was a pro. One thing I will tell you is after you drive with this shifter, ever other shifter the word will have a throw that will feel like a mile long!!

Have one, was much happier once I replaced the factory **** with a hurst ball as I can now feel what it is doing. Don't mind the notchiness, used to it. Keeps the girls out of the drivers seat.
Never tried a MGW but have only heard good things about them.
