I know there are more elaborate solutions, however I simply pulled the fuse (passenger footwell) as I never liked the radio-controlled toy car look.
I swapped out my OEM head unit for a double din NAV and I mostly listen to my iPod library vs. the radio. Even with the antenna down, I only lost a few stations and still easily lock in the more powerful local stations.
If I go on a long road trip and want to listen to local stations, I simply re-install the fuse which I keep in the glovebox with the owners manual.
Thanks for the answers, guys. Peter, I usually just listen to my flash drive, and like MSG I hate the way it looks. I wish somebody made a power shorty antenna.
