Default Tire Sizes for 18/19 combo?

Looking to move up to a more tire choice friendly 18/19 Wheel Combo sometime soon, just not sure what Tire sizes I should go for. Car is lowered a bit on stock bolts.

Currently have a 275/40/17 F, stock rear GY.

Thanks!

There are a ton of threads on this already, search for really anything regarding tire size or 18/19. But I went with 275/35/18 up front, and 305/30/19 in the rear. It's pretty common for people to go with something a little smaller, 365 up front, 295 in the rear. When going with the larger rims, it's important to go with sidewalls 30 in the rear and 35 in the front to keep the stock wheel diameter, that way your active handling and speedometer arent screwed up. This is all stuff I learned when I was researching tires. I'm sure someone else will chime in with more info or better.

What Monolith is referring to is keeping the correct aspect ratio between the front/rear wheels and tires.

Believe me I know, have read many threads on that. I was concerned about getting the correct aspect ratio for the plus 1 setup. Having fun now finding wheels I like in those sizes and correct widths and that I can afford.

Yeah, 305/30-19 in the rear gives you lots of good tire options. In the front, you'll want 265/35-18 or 275/35-18, depending on wheel width, tire choice, and desired front/rear traction balance. I went with 265's.

Your rear wheel should be 10.5" or 11" wide, and the front should be 9", 9.5", or 10" wide.

My car has the usual 265-35/18 fronts, and 325-30/19 rears on 9.5"/11" wide wheels. No rubbing issues with the car lowered on stock bolts. They're Nitto Invos, BTW. I wouldn't buy them again, though.

Default Since all the cool kids are doing it...

305/30-19 and 265/35-18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on TSW Interlagos.

Front is lowered max on stock bolts, then backed out 1/8 turn to prevent seizing. Rear is lowered with a few threads left, to match the wheel well spacing of the front.

Meaning the additional room for larger calipers up front.

Agree with above....

Front:
265/35/18 or 275/35/18
9.5"-10" wide wheel would be best

Rear
305/30/19
10.5"-11" wide wheel would be best

Proven time and time again to work perfectly with the C5 Computer traction control and active handling.

Oh Crap, Toque posted in my Thread!

I probably should have just checked your site. (I do have it bookmarked of course!)

Probably have to put it off till next year, need tires in the rear before a roadtrip to Laguna Seca in August, and some of the wheels I like have a 10 week wait.
