I have been looking for a corvette for a while now. I recently got out of the f-body world lol I really wanted a z06 but with my budget of $15k i was realizing it was not going to happen. I started looking at FRC's. I found a couple and I liked but had to many miles or way over priced. I came across a Black 99 Frc with 115,000 miles for $10,000 (the guy is needing to sell)

Font tires still have good tread, back tires brand new, car looks great inside and out, minor scratches and paint fades from 13 yrs of driving. check engine light appears because of smog , it comes up secondary air intake code, nothing that affects the running of the car. the only other fix will be the AC system, not sure why but it only works on high, Other then that, this car runs great and gets 20 miles to gallon city/ 30 hwy.


If i was to buy this one it would leave me with $5000 to play with and I found a brand new A&A supercharger kit for $3800 so that would be my first purchase and with the rest of the money I would buy some wheels as the stock wheels have to go.

Is this a good buy? I looked over the stickey of what to look for when buying a c5 are there any other things I should know. Thanks for the help guys!

 

Sounds like a decent buy. However, I would advise against going out and spending that extra 5K on a supercharger kit, wheels, etc, right off the bat. I would drive it for a while first, and make sure it is sound mechanically.
