Time to get busy!
Recently broke a valve spring in the Z... Yes, I $#*! my pants when it happened. Good news is that the spring got tangled up in itself, hanging the valve open, but not dropping it far enough to let it kiss the piston. I verified with a borescope. Seems like this sort of "save" is relatively common when the spring breaks.

So, at the recommendation of my good friend b16gsr, I turned to Martin at Tick Performance and got the new parts on order. Great experience with Martin. He knew exactly what I needed, gave me a great price, and had it to my door quickly. I opted for the Brian Tooley setup, and I also sprung for the Comp Cams trunion upgrade, because, well....why not. The Comp Cams spring compressor should be here in a couple of days, giving me time to patiently swap out the trunions in the rockers. Wish me luck.
