Default C5 Splash Guards

Hi All

I have been gone for a while -- quick question -- is anyone making
ZO6 style splash guards for the C5 base coupe yet?

There are a few vendors that make molded splash guards for the C5. Lewis 5 Motorsports, Apsis and CorvetteMods that I know of. If you are ambitious you can also try and mold your own from OEM C6Z splash guards.

There are a ton of threads on molding your own if you so choose. The advanced search feature can be your best friend! I was not as ambitious and went with the L5 molded guards and love them! They really do work and I like their appearance!

Good Luck

If you want to try to make the C6Z ones fit your car, I have some Word files that talk about the process. If you'd like a copy, just PM me your e-mail address.

The L5 are sweet and fit great, but they are a little large for some, I love them myself, but if you have the time and skill the c6 style look great as well.

Default I decided on Apsis, quality was my goal !

I went with Apsis, their the "old style" and I had them painted to match the rest of the car. their solid material so once you have them installed, they are very tight fit and you would be surprised at how well they work. not cheap though !

Nice Killain. I agree if your going to go. Painted is the way to go...

I went back and forth with this one when I first purchased my car back in March and saw all the road grime after each use. One of the Forum guys put it best when he stated its a bastard to keep clean. It was tough decision for me, I personally opted to just keep cleaning the car.

Good luck with it

I too have an AE and have been eyeballing these mudguards... Could you share the total costs with the repainting of the guards?

Mike - Do you have any pics showing the install side? I'd like to see how "clean" the install is.

BTW - They look great on your car!
