Default Painting Alt/PS Bracket

How many of you have painted your alternator/power steering bracket on your LS1/LS6? Just a thought since all of the accessory drive will be coming off my LS6 to go onto my LS7. It sure would be nice to have a brand new look to an engine bay and that dull looking bracket just doesn't pull it off . Would it cause any grounding issues? Post up what you've done.

I'm contemplating doing this and getting my throttle body/alternator powdercoated black too since there isn't anything silver in my engine bay anymore, you have to have someone do some resoldering to the alternator though to get it to work. I'm curious as well.

Had my sanded down then polished out looks almost like chrome now. Plus had the alt done the same way with the T.B. also.

I'm curious, why would you need some re-soldering done?

I'm sure it looks great
But I'd actually like to get it powdercoated or hell even spray painting would look better than the way it is now.

I painted my alternator (completely disassembled it), power steering/alternator bracket (removed power steering pump, added LS2 PS pulley), throttle body, and water pump. Also painted my steering rack while I had it out of the car.

Can you elaborate some? Did you get it powder coated or did you use something out of a rattle can? How about some pictures

Smoothed and powder coated mine, certain areas masked off for grounding etc. I had an alternator shop dis/re-assemble the alt because I didn't have a heavy duty enough soldering iron.

You only have to solder if you disassemble the alternator.

Awesome, that would be the ideal setup for me. At this time just the bracket though. What areas did you mask off for grounding? Pretty much anywhere with a bolt running through?
