Since I purchased our C5 I decided that I wanted more power, so I had a A&A S/C installed, along with a new hp clutch, and the normal upgrades. It is fun to drive, but I have found I don't drive it in the rain, nor when it is to hot, nor after dark, and our pooch is to large to travel, so more often than not, it sets in the garage with a car cover on it, while I drive our other cars.
It has the wow factor, but just is not being used very much.
Anyone else in this situation?
Personally, I'm daily driving the berries out of it!!
If I don't have to take it out in the rain, I won't... however if I'm caught in it Oh Well!
The second it stops it gets washed. And day to day there is hardly ever a layer of dust on it. Wash 2/3 times a week depending. Not to mention Zaino Gloss Enhancer Applications hah
It's hard to keep up appearances but they look too damn good not to be clean and driven! Get out and re invigorate the Corvette owner inside..... take it to some HPDE's or an autocross.
I feel soo bad for my Corvette (and my SSr) all they want to do is go and instead they both sit and wait. I do a lot of driving in my job and really don't feel like driving when I get home. Maybe on vacation but I have a passion for Europe and when I get time off well Europe here I come and guess who has to sit in the garage and wait? So to answer your question I am another guy that lets them sit and wait...lol. Greetings, Rob
Here we go again.......when you die you don't get a credit for keeping the miles down on your car !
These cars are meant to be enjoyed, the day I don't want to drive mine it's because I got something I like more so I won't need this one any more. Drive the damn thing. It's a car, that's what they were made for.
My Vette sits a lot but I have a reason. I have a restored 73 Tbird and my grandson is totally fascinated by it and wants us to take it everywhere we go on any errand for any reason. My Vette had 42K on it when I bought it 3yrs ago and now it has 44K on it so I guess I don't drive it all that much. I drive my F150 daily (golf course) so the Vette AND the Tbird sit a lot.
Oh yeah and I never drive it in rain/snow either.
nope I am not driving mine........It is late and I am about to go to bed so mine is just sitting, not being driven, Tomorrow though when I get up she will still sit as I get ready for the day (going up to the lake tomorrow) and still she will sit not being driven until I leave then I will go out start her up and take her out for a spin up to the lake and Enjoy her as she was meant to be enjoyed.
In other words she is not being driven only when I am not driving somewhere! I love driving and enjoying my Vette and do it all the time
20,000 miles in three years on my '99 convertible, including a few multi-day road trips. And the dog gets to go to cruise-ins with me. He'd even like to drive but I worry what would happen if he sees a squirrelr un across the road.

Red cars are faster. They did a study on it.
I like mine right where it sits and that's in the garage .....
Only on the weekends and perfect weather of course having a family cuts into driving time. Family events , sports, etc. No time Just knowing I own it and I can look at it gives me joy.
