I read in a recent post, entered as an afterthought to the main thread, that one member replaced his seats in his C5 with seats from a C6; and he intimated that they were bolt in.
My car has the leather sport seats w/ memory and lumbar supports. They are all shot. The only thing that works on either of them is the fore and aft, and, of course, one can rock themselves to sleep with them.
I have followed the posts for replacement seats, Sparco, etc. and none of them seem to properly fit my car. To rebuild the seats I have and return them to original status would be expensive - and I would still have f-ing C5 seats.
Question, do the C6 seats bolt into a C5? I assume that I can still get a set of C6 seats new or almost new.Thoughts? Comments? Money is certainly a concern but not the major issue.
I Found this link when I was researching my seat repair. It has information on installing C6 seats in a C5. There's really no inexpensive way to do it, unless you find a set of used seats in good condition. Replacement foam runs about $300. Skins are anywhere from $300(Ebay) to 2,000(Vette Essentials) per set. DJ's Motorsports has good quality for value in the $6-700 range. Corbreau A4 seats run $330 to $550 each, so might not cost more than rebuilding yours.
Here's the link about C6 seats: http://www.corvette-web-central.com/...t-upgrade.html
Thanks john, for the link. It was informative. It looks like I'd still have to use, and rebuild, my shi$$y C5 seat tracks. Cause I'm lazy and mechanically challenged what I want to do is just jerk out the old seats and tracks and plug and bolt in something new.
Oh well, I guess I'll just wait until some one makes a replacement seat assembly for the C5. I don't really care if I loose all the fancy electro-mechanical tomfoolery and have to revert to good ol' manual seats - I can live with that - I just don't want to be throwing some kind of computer codes that require virgin sacrifice to overcome.
I've set my budget for about $2K to $2.5K for the job as long as I can unbolt and sh&tcan the old assembly and just bolt in the new. And they don't even have to be leather.
I am satisfied with the results of replacing the foam/skins on my Z06 seats, but adding up the costs, I wish I looked into purchasing the Corbreau A4 seats. The list price for microsuede is about $420, which is less than it cost to recover my vette seats. Leather would have been about the same as I paid.

Any ideas? Vendors chime in.

TPS Mak has a thread going in the Z06 section. He could probably answer any fitment questions you might have. He's Located in CA. HTH
If you get seats that use the stock seat tracks, you could always replace them with ones that arent broken. There are a lot of seat choices for the c5. Depending on how creative you want to get you can pretty much put in anything that will fit in the space. Ive seen everything from from the major aftermarket brands like cobra, recaro, sparco, corbeau to c6, viper, neon, etc. With your price rangenyou are pretty wide open especially if you shop used. I replaced mine with used caravaggio buckets. I paid 1200 for the pair and then replaced my driver side track with a stock c5 manual track for 80 bucks.
