All lights come on my dash. BUT when you look at the DASH IF you can see that far, it will show the mileage also and none of the DIC lights come on also. SO for you older guys who know everything what is the cause
When you unlock your car using the remote, the mileage display will light on the DIC. It goes out when you open the door. The second way to display the mileage is to push the "trip" DIC button (#3 button) until odometer appears on the DIC. That information is all somewhere in the car's manual.
Your description still isn't very clear BUT I think what you are saying is that all of the dash lights seem to work when you turn the key on with the exception of the DIC display.
So, we start with the easy things first.
1) With the key on, try depressing any of the DIC buttons to see if you get the DIC to display some information. (You can have the DIC set to display nothing so this is why I suggest this step first.)
2) Check all of the DIC buttons to see if any of them are stuck in the depressed position.
3) If 1 and 2 fail, you have have to take the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) out to troubleshoot further. The DIC buttons are wired to the IPC directly. The IPC provides the 5 volt power for them, and is also the ground for the buttons. There ia a multi-color wiring bundle from the IPC to the switches. You will have to remove the IPC and see if the connector has come loose. If it is not loose, then you need to check between the GREY wire (ground) and any of the others and see if you get 5 volts across them. If you don't get 5 volts, the IPC needs repair/replacement. If you get 5 volts, then the switches themselves are bad. If I had to guess one of the switches has "jammed" as if you were holding it down constantly, and the other switches aren't functioning due to that one. (information for step 3 copied from a post by 8VETTE7)
4) Don't be such a hot head. You're new to the forum, your post was unclear, people on here are helpful if you're willing to communicate clearly and listen, and they like to have fun.
