Rocking Seat Fixed Today
Thanks to Sliebl, and http://www.lieblweb.com/c5seatfix.html. I fixed my rocking drivers seat today. I was very apprehensive about taking it apart, but sliebls web site had very concise information and very good pictures. Probably took three hours, but i was in no hurry, the garage was 100+ so i took the seat inside the family room where there was ac

This is what the block set inside of, really soft rubber
I took this bolt out so I could get clearance to get a torx bit into the track screw, i actually used vise grips to hold the torx bit because there was not enough clearance to get a ratchet and torx bit into the screw.
Got the plastic washers at ace hardware. WOW im glad to get this done!!
Well me and the wife had to take a cruise to check the seat out and relieve the stress of all that concentration, so we pulled up to the red light, and two lanes over are a couple of guys in an older pickup revving the engine, so my wife looks over and gives them an appreciative wave and we take off. Just so happens at the next light we are first in line, so now he is really getting on the throttle, he takes off on green like hes at a drag strip with his hand out side the cab waving me to come on, for some reason i just continued on at posted speed limit of 50 mph, so he got on it for all he had and crossed over and to the left turn lane and slammed on his brakes, so as we passed through the light there sat Arlingtons finest with his little radar pointed at me
I politely waved and continued on to Dairy Queen
