heater/ac blower motor update
on 7-7-13 I posted on this forum about my blower motor not working.
I tried everything suggested to no avail, fuses and such. finally pulled
blower motor , which is not easy, especially when you are 75 yrs. old.
anyway, there was a mouse nest keeping the motor from turning.
I would have thought that a fuse would have blown first, but it didn't.
I keep my 2004 in my pole barn, but I have never had a mouse in
there ever. think this nest was in there when I bought the vette a
year ago. glad I found it , but i'm still sore from trying to be
contortionist under the dash.

Glad you found the problem and got her fixed. I agree, one would assume it would blow a fuse if power is applied to it and the motor does not spin. In hind sight; not blowing the fuse saved you a couple fuses during the troubleshooting process.
Had the same problem with mine, tho' I discovered it pretty quick. It was kept, covered in a garage by the P/O, but used regularly.
There are pix somewhere, because I did have some visual assistance but I don't remember where they were. Maybe Vetteman Jack has a lead?

up under the dash on the pass side is a panel. this has a couple plastic
big head push pins and a nut near back of panel. remove these and
blower motor is exposed. unplug wire harness from motor and pull out rubber hose. you will see 3 small cap screws on bottom of motor.
remove these bolts and drop motor down. easy to do, but not easy to
get to. I bench checked mine with a batt charger to see if it was the motor or not. mine was a mouse nest as noted. good luck. jerry
