some of you i'm sure read my numerous posts about getting c5 tires . after checking with tirerack and michelin and getting many helpful suggestions from you folks [ thanks again] we bought michelin as3 tires . tire racks prices were less than the installing tire store has to pay from his supplier and installation was $80 . to refresh your memory these went on a 2004 vert automatic and my biggest concern was noise reduction . i just drove car for first time and they are definitely quieter but i still THINK our 2000 coupe with firestones is a little quieter than this car . i will always wonder if the hankook ''recommenders'' were right but don't intend to buy them also just to find out . by the way , i rarely drive over 50 so don't know nor care about handling so won't comment on that aspect . lastly , we ordered tires monday afternoon and installer had them tuesday afternoon which impressed me . . .peace
when driving on city streets i felt tires were quieter but had hoped for even '' more quiet'' . i drove on expressway a couple miles a few days a go and tires were really quiet and would be , in that respect , very satisfactory on a trip . . . .peace
Congrats on your choice.
Very hard to choose with so many options out there!
I ended up with Michelin Super Sports, so far extremely happy with them, have only put about 350 miles on them so far.
