Depends. If everything was installed and tuned properly, and it matches what your wants/needs are in terms of power and price range...it could end up being great

Was not looking for extra power, but with my small block 65 in the garage it might be a good addition. The car seems to be well maintained, just don't want to buy a problem. Had heard that some of the paxtons in c5's had problems ???

First thing I would want to know is how well has the car been maintained and who did the work on the install. As mentioned, it could be a nice addition if the car is in great shape and other items upgraded at the same time.
Some c5s with vortech or procharger had problems. Some c5s na had problems. Just bc it's a Paxton doesn't mean it's a problem. It might be. But it might not.
I would say if u don't want more power and r asking yourself about it then u should pass. C5 are not unicorns
Also my c5 with the vortech is every bit as reliable as it was without
