Windshield chip

Have any of you guys tried to fix a chip in glass?
I've got a small rock chip about the size of a BB. So far it hasn't spread but of course I don't want it to. There are a couple do it yourself kits out there to choose from.

If its the size of a BB I would have a professional handle it. From my experience those kits work for a while but eventually fail and run.

I'd take it to one of those Stop A Crack places. They fixed one on my daily drive and unless you know where it was, you can't see it.

Used Safelite on my 2001 last year - they did a great job right in my driveway. Believe the HUD windshield they installed is made by company that did original OEM.
