Engine noise.
Hello, I purchased my first vette last month after selling my 72 Nova, and Harley. I had always wanted a Corvette. I found my vette at a local dealer and the rest is history. I was fortunate to get a 6 month bumper to bumper warantee on the car even though it is an 01. The only issue that I am having with the car is that when it is cold and I first start it I hear a tapping like a valve, with in a minute of the oil flowing and the engine warming up it goes away. I am taking it to the dealer next week but was wondering if any one else has had this issue with the L1 engine?

I have had many chevy's and a few of the 5.7's would be a little loud until the oil got up into the heads and moving. I hope that is all it is, I see no exhaust leaks, or any other problems. Thanks for the ideas, figured I would check before the dealer gives mt their results.
