I have a '98 C5 that I have put 205,000 miles on. I recently began having problems with the DIC flipping randomly through the sensor displays on it's own. I had the battery checked and while it is old, it seems to be holding charge OK. What voltage must be maintained in order for the DIC to function properly?
Also, none of the selector buttown are functioning any longer. If there is a malfunction in the button cluster, is there a way to test for it before removing the dash to get at the cluster for replacement?
It never says what he finally did but you can email/PM him. Does not seem like a battery issue in my opinion. Most likely it is the actual switch itself. I will help further as needed.
I have a 99 coupe with 113k on it and it does the same thing. Seems to happen with sudden cool-hot temp changes and other times when I hit a bump. Kind of sporadic, but yeah..it goes through the entire menu, and I can most of the time get it to stop by pressing one of the other buttons. Other times..just have to let it run its course. No codes.
