Default convertible top fabric question

My '02, Black,13k miles / has been well babied, /I have lighter lines on the fabric after returning it up, ( where the folds were, the two corners too) ..I always kept it clean(lint roller) and it's never been outside much..I'm quite reluctant to treat it.
Is this normal..?.Thanks all.

The crease or shiney marks are the result of the top rubbing up against itself when stowed/driving.

A good idea is to place a thin foam mattress pad between the sections when the stop is stowed.

As to the existing marks, try using a brush designed for fabric convertible tops that helps raise and clean the fabric. A good cleaner like Ragg Topp also helps.

I have treated my 03 from day one in Sept 2002 with 303 cleaner and 303 water repeller about twice a year. The top is like new and looks like it will last many moons. (mine is always garaged and the top is usually up (I know...) I put the top down for cruises thru the mountains, beach (not here in ID) etc. 89K miles.

Will the 303 also restore the black look on black tops? My top is in great shape but it is starting to get a little faded. Not to noticeable by it's self but beside a newer ont you can see the difference. Perhaps dying them would work?

I use a bath sheet
thinner than a mattress does the same trick and in a pinch can be used for other purposes ....
