On some policies, you don't have a Ded on Comp, or a smaller one, as well as it is not held against you as it is below 2000.

Mental note: Make throwing the two levers and pushing the tab as instantaneous and reflex as fastening the seatbelt, then you're both safe.

Best chance of that is to simply pay attention to what you're doing. Sounds simple enough.

And with comprehensive your premium will not be impacted. You pay for your coverage; now is a great time to use it.

Let me check. I've had it for several years. It's not designed to stay on while you're driving, but I think it's designed to keep the rain out if you're parked for a short period of time. There are suction cups on both sides to keep the wind from blowing it off. Keep in mind I've never used mine for anything except keeping the dust out of my car when I park it in the garage and when I store it. Here's a quick picture I just took.

You just have to remember to make putting the top back on in one motion, and finish the entire job.

Happened to me only a few weeks after purchasing mine... Was very lucky that it only scraped the corners on the bottom (it landed perfectly on the bottom) with no scratches, cracks, or even leaks. A little touch up paint and it's hard to tell that it ever happened.

I now check the latches every time I get in the car before putting on my seat belt as a habit.

OP sorry for your troubles and the remove before flight rip cords are a great idea.

For those looking for the fabric top I found this one

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1997-2004.html

Temporary use only and not for driving. Good fit for what I need though.

Funny , things also start flying off at about thirty five with a convertible. The positive is that you don't have to return to the scene of stupidity, the things is attached.

It took me a couple of mistakes to modify my behavior.

The C6 convert has a warning system if it's not latched. Well at least the power tops do. I don't know about the non power tops.
