Default HELP choose car color

I had some damage to the finish of my black vette and insurance is paying to repaint it. My problem i cant decide if i want flat black or gloss. Im really digging the flat black i think it just looks sinister with the gloss black wheels. My car is not a collector or anything i drive it and race it so value is out. let me know what you guys think thanks.

Call me old school (I am) but the best way to totally ruin any car besides a rat rod is to paint it ANY flat color.

That said, do as you please and race the hell out of it!

Paint it gloss, then PD it.

If you don't dig the flat look, you can peel it off back to gloss

Absolutely. Gloss ... the glossier the better... if that is okay with you.

Gloss black . . .flat black looks like someone wrecked it, rattle-canned it and didn't have the dough to get it finished . . .it'll hurt you at resale, IMO.

Just my .02 -

why would anyone ask for a blessing on paint from people here? You are paying for it, why not get what you want, after all I'm guessing that the people answering your question have to be at least 40 years older than you.
Sinister? indeed

I've heard that flat black paint is very difficult to maintain.

I agree, I remember back in the day we use to paint our cars flat black and the only reason was because he had no money, At least it was all the came color, Nowadays in my opinion a flat black car just doesn't do it at all, Bottom line is, It's your car, Not mine.

Red, of course.

Red cars are faster. They did a study on it.

I'd get it repainted with a gloss finish and then plasti-dip it if you want it flat black that way you can go back to gloss anything in the future you wish.

Gloss. And yes, I probably 40 years older than you. Flat looks like primer and you can't afford to finish the job.

It's your little red wagon, you can push it or pull it. (Don't listen to others do what makes you happy)
