I had some damage to the finish of my black vette and insurance is paying to repaint it. My problem i cant decide if i want flat black or gloss. Im really digging the flat black i think it just looks sinister with the gloss black wheels. My car is not a collector or anything i drive it and race it so value is out. let me know what you guys think thanks.
Gloss black . . .flat black looks like someone wrecked it, rattle-canned it and didn't have the dough to get it finished . . .it'll hurt you at resale, IMO.
why would anyone ask for a blessing on paint from people here? You are paying for it, why not get what you want, after all I'm guessing that the people answering your question have to be at least 40 years older than you.
Sinister? indeed

I agree, I remember back in the day we use to paint our cars flat black and the only reason was because he had no money, At least it was all the came color, Nowadays in my opinion a flat black car just doesn't do it at all, Bottom line is, It's your car, Not mine.
I'd get it repainted with a gloss finish and then plasti-dip it if you want it flat black that way you can go back to gloss anything in the future you wish.
