Hi everyone, When running the ac the passenger side floor gets wet,
I checked the drain tubes and they seem to be clear. when I remove the drain tube from the blower motor there are then two holes. one on the motor ane one thet goes into the duckwork, The one coming out of te duckwork has air coming out, should this be, I assume it's to cool the blower motor, or should ther be sucution or nothing at all ? Can not find where the water is leaking from. does anyone have any ideas?
The A/C condensate drain is a 90 degree rubber elbow, on the engine side of the firewall below the passenger or right engine head. it is relatively easily serviced from below. Put the car on jack stands, reach up there and pull it off. It may take some uging from a long screwdriver.
Thanks for the input but still having the problem, the HAVC air box tube was clean, I even blew comperssed ain in the hole and nothing come out. I checked the blower motor tube, and the two drain tubes on the L and R on the fire wall, blew air in everything but nothing came out, I'm thinking maybe it's cloged inside the airbox where you can't reach. I'll try anything at this point. THANK YOU
With the rubber elbow removed from the firewall, a flexible cable could be pushed into the plastic HVAC box drain tube sticking out of the firewall in order to clear the drain hole in the HVAC box drain.
With the blower motor removed you might be able to vacuum out the HVAC box in the vicinity of the drain by making a fitting to go on the end of the vacuum hose which will reach the area of the drain.
