When I open the door buzzing distorted sound starts. When I start the engine it goes away but usually comes back shortly but not as loud. When I stop the engine, leave the car locking the door sound stops ½ a minute later. please advise
99 looks and not one response; not going quite as one would hope! More details would be required here. What year and model Vette do you have? How many miles? Any aftermarket features?
The answers to these questions can start the process of narrowing down the gremlin.
As well, when you say "buzzing," is the chime dinging as well?
Can you describe the buzzing?
Can you tell generally where the sound is coming from?
Is it possibly coming from a speaker?
Does the buzzing change with the radio on or off?
Does is start when you press the fob to unlock the car?
Does is still make noise when you use the key to unlock the car? (therefore bypassing the lights)
Respond to these questions and lets go from there.

First of all thank you for your help
It’s a 2002 with 90000 miles on and no aftermarket gadgets. Chime is on but sound is not clear. Buzzing sound, that is coming from the gage cluster area, sounds like small cheap car horn but with “sore throat”. I’m sure it’s not a radio. As I wrote before it starts after I unlock the door with remote (even before door is open) and stops when I turn the ignition on. It happens every time with no exceptions unless I do it second time right after the first time. So if I turn the ignition off, open the door, lock the door using switch on the door pull handle, close the door then unlock the door with remote I get no sound. If I do the same but wait a while before unlocking the door sound is back. When I unlock the door with a key buzz is on exactly like as if remote was used. I just noticed something else I wasn't aware of. As I told you buzz goes away after ignition is turned on. But this time I was in the car working on something else and I didn't put key into ignition. Buzz stopped on its own after a while then came back, went off again. Few minutes later when I left the car there buzz was still off.
