Just had them installed this afternoon. Took four weeks for them to come in (ordered locally) and they did the install. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to remove the seats to install the covers. Took them maybe twenty minutes tops...I guess since they do so many they have it down to a science.
Anyway I must say they sure brighten up the interior. I have the black interior so I ordered the red inserts with the Z06 emblems on the headrest. They look and feel great. I didnt really purchase them to protect my leather, rather to change the look of my interior. I must say I like the look! I think now I will have to add a few more red touches, possibly door pulls, steering wheel cover and console cover. Saw some interesting items in the Mid America catalogue (dont think I can afford Ken King's products). Can anyone give me some feedback on the Mid America product's quality and value?
Excellent. Glad to hear the seats don't necessarily have to come out. Do you notice the inserts from outside the car, or is the effect mostly on the inside?
M/A's reliable, but the quality varies from piece to piece. Of course, if you're not happy with one, you can send it back.
I installed the same thing in my car. I found the seat bottoms made me sit too high up so I ditched them and kept the seat backs on. Still looks pretty sweet.

Yes you can notice the inserts from outside the car, even with my tinted windows. I'll try take some pics later and email them to you.
Call Ken King for the other items. The prices are competitive and the products are far superior. You will love the quality of leather, workmanship and you can virtually design exactly what you want.
Additionally, Ken and Sandy will talk you through any installation, plus if you are not happy, there is no hassle. I bet you will be impressed with the ptoducts and doing business with Vette Essentials. :chevy :flag
Not really that long. I think they were on for a few days. One of those things where you say "nope this isn't right". I'm not real tall, but I am pretty fussy about my seating position. The bottoms add about 1/2" of padding. They look sharp, but the padding hinders the "butt meter" when running hard as well as raising you up in the car...
Thanks, WWK888, I've been trying to decide between the black and red inserts.
Mike, I know what you mean, I'd like to get the seat lower than it is already! I hadn't considered the feedback issue, and I guess that could be good or bad depending upon one's preferences.

Ken's products are top notch. Expensive, but the best usually is. I got the full set... steering wheel (my favorite piece!), console cushion, door pulls, ebrake lever and boot, shift **** and boot, all in red and black leather.
Nice! Did you treat the seats with anything before you put them on?
If you are referring to the leather seats, they actually recommend that you do not treat them as any petroleum based products will cause the neoprene to break down from the inside out and may cause staining to the leather.
