It wouldn't hurt to do a fluid/filter change, but not mandatory at this point. I changed those items on my '03 right after I bought it with about 11K miles on the car just for the peace of mind.

Here's what my owner's manual says about the fluid/filter change on an A4 tranny:

50,000 Miles (83 000 km)
Change automatic transmission fluid and filter if the
vehicle is mainly driven under one or more of these
conditions:
- In heavy city traffic where the outside
temperature regularly reaches 90°F (32°C) or
higher.
- In hilly or mountainous terrain.
- Uses such as high performance operation.
If you do not use your vehicle under any of these
conditions, change the fluid and filter at
100,000 miles (166 000 km). Manual
transmission fluid doesn’t require change.

As I always say on these topics, it brings me piece of mind when I get a new car to change all the fluids if I don't have a maintenence history.

$50 in transmission fluid and a little time spent under the car is cheap prevention for problems IMO.
