Hey guys, new to the whole Vette game. Almost went with an 03/04 termi but I am so happy to say I didn't. I absolutely love everything about my z06! The race car feel is just so exhilerating...blah blah blah anyways everything is stock besides the corsa catbacks so my next question is does anybody have a c6z06 shifter for sale? (Live in Houston) I've done some extensive research in addition to some hands on and believe this is the right feel for me. Recommendations on midpipe? I still want that signature corsa tone so I am ok with leaving the stock H on if necessary. Thanks so much for the input fellas, super stoked to finally own one of these bad boys!!
Now a C6 shifter is a great improvement over that POS C5 shifter. You're going to really like it. I personally went with an MGW same characteristics of a C6 but a shorter throw.
As for mods go... What year is your Z? Do you know if the Column bypass kit has been installed or a skip shift eliminator? Just a few things to consider before you start thinking performance mods. Hope to see you around town sometime!
Enjoy the car and learn it for what it is first. I put a C6Z x427 shifter in mine. Love it! Definitely a better feel over the sloppy one in the car. Column lock bypass is a great suggestion. Cold Air Intake, Long Tube headers are often the first mods. I'd swap out the stock springs if they have not been done yet. Have fun and congrats.

It's a 2002 (Beautiful red like yours). I met a guy today that is actually trying to get rid of his MGW so im going to see how much he wants and go from there. Skip shift eliminator is a must ASAP. Gets old quick. Do you ever go to Cars and Coffee?

Car still has stock springs and CAI but ill look into both of those soon. Literally everything is stock other than the Corsa's. Only had 15k miles when I bought it. Still a virgin
first mods i would be thinking are better brake pads, stickier tires and a better clutch
car has enough power as it is for street tires. the glaring problems i found were mostly with the clutch and steering feedback. the clutch you can at least fix

Congrats you own the fastest color
Yes, I was there with a group of z06's last weekend. I think I may have seen your car on the opposite side if you were there. Nice!! Installation on the MGW is a snap. It took me about an hour to do. What side of town are you on?

I got my 03 Z in Houston two weeks ago. . Everything is stock on mine too. I've already done my first mod. I replaced the headlights with the projector beam ones available from site vendors. I didn't like the stock ones. I like these MUCH better. Still in awe of the car in general. I look for every excuse to go for a drive lol
THIS ISN'T A GAME! J/K... Welcome and congrats! My first mod knowing what I know now would be to buy a CLB... Column Lock Bypass. If one hasn't already been installed. Best 40 bucks you could spend right now.
