Missing Trunk Carpet?
I've had my '02 Z06 for almost a year now and am wondering if this is normal? It looks like somebody cut out some of the carpet at the bottom of the trunk. This picture was taken from behind the car, looking straight down into the trunk. Is everyone else's trunk like this? If something is missing, can you please post pics of what it should look like? Thanks!

This is just a WAG..but if I was to bet dollars to donuts, I'd say for sure the carpet piece was cut to almost the shape of a battery and the small cutout towards the bottom was for some type of wiring. Just a guess though. Hard to say.

The previous owner might have had a custom subwoofer installed which required the OEM carpet to be removed.
You can purchase new reproduction carpet sets from vendors like Mid-America. I think they sell them by sections meaning front and/or rear only. I doubt you would be able to find a new piece just for that lower section.
You can also try Vette Nuts or other salvage title shops and see if they have any extra carpet available.
