Anyone know of a thread that talks you through replacement of the C5 seat skins? Preferrably with some pictures. I may be somewhat inept at the computer, but I find nothing when I do a search......
As always,
Thanks in advance for assistance C5 community!!
swapping seat skins are pretty cut and dry and is about a day project and thats total time and in no big hurry (at least for me it was ) I suggest you add a little extra padding on the side bolsters to help your new seat skins last longer. the plastic under the seat foam cuts through the foam which helps the breakdown of your seatskins and makes them look worn alot faster. its something worth doing while the seats are already torn down

I also cut up my old skins and made a piece to go under the foam to stop the springs from cutting into the new foam. Also pieces to put over the seat shell where the bolster foam is. And while you're at it its a great time to do the nylon washers for the rocking seat fix, along with replacing the lumbar/bolster bladders. Best to pull your seats once and fix them right the first time
