Lol at people who think someone is desperate if they take out a 60 month loan.

Anyways, I just purchased an '02 Z06 for 24,898. I put 4,898 down and financed 20,000 through Northwest Federal Credit Union. I had a cosigner for my previous car loan; this is the first on my own. For this one I got a 60 month loan with a 3.25% interest rate, but I could have gone up to 84 months.

Mind boggling that people will buy 10+ yr old cars and finance them for 5+ years.

It's good for people who can't seem to get a loan on their own for whatever reason. Works kinda like a dealer would. They also get cuts for finding you a lender. Maybe not all but I know some do.

Bought my '04 vert loaded with 43K on it a few months and my CU would only go 36 months - they'd go 48 for an '05 - '07.

I agree I got them because it took less than a week, then afterwards could shop around for better financing rate. And just another opinion, who cares if it is a 15 year old car, its a vette, mine looks and is in excellent condition and hopefully will be around at least another ten years that is why we painstakingly take care of them!!!!

If you're a vet, USAA will finance something that old.

I wish you luck but you need to consider that if money is tight, repairs might make the car uselss to you. Also, consider if you can control not getting the mod fever. Perhaps you should wait until you can enjoy the Vette without worrying about the first of the month or a major repair.
