Default Clear Corners With LED Strips...Question.

Those who have purchased and installed these. Were the leads on the LED's the smallest wires you have ever seen or what? I mean so small they won't stay in a connector. If the wires look or yours look to be a "normal" size...where did you purchase them?

When I did mine I stripped the wire and actually "wrapped it around the other thicker wire that I stripped and just taped it in electrical tape looks pro . I didnt use a connector the wire like you said is to small. I have mine turn on when I i click the switch once and then my fogs and switchback go on.

Ok, thanks. The ones I have, the wire is so small the connector won't stay on. Was just wondering if that was normal. I guess it is.

Reminds me of cheap chinese junk. Oh, wait a minute...THEY ARE CHEAP CHINESE JUNK...

The wires were pretty small and not a ton of fun to work with
Mine were the pilots that jdmvette used when he came up with the idea..

Thanks, I was just making sure they were all created equal. The wires are so small it just astonishes me that someone thinks this is a good idea for anything much less on the front of a car.

My first set was razor thin my second was thicker now that I think about it but I still wrapped them around. I copied Jason as well(jdmvette). I paid a few bucks shipped maybe 6.. but they are alot brighter and not as blue. My first set was a good 8k the ones I have now are 6k hardley any blue hue on them. Ill post some pics

These are extremely white. No blue, but very cheaply made. I could kick myself for spending $300 on these. I could have ordered the lenses off of the auction site, installed a hyperflash harness and the switchback bulbs for about $120 and let the vendor keep the chinese led's.

I know asked and answered a million times but what bulbs, besides HID's come closest to white?

Thanks

CORRECTION! It got dark. Switchbacks from radioflyer ARE BLUE in case anyone is wondering. And I would skip the LED strip option. One doesn't work...and he doesn't answer....

I couldnt get mine to make connection with the supplied connectors. Im gonna try and do what you guys mentioned and just wrap the wire around the other and heat shrink. The wires kept breaking when I tried to strip them. Im gonna apply heat this time. Frustrating to say the least.

When I did mine, I bought a little connector at radio shack and soldered the wires to it so it didnt matter that they were so small. Im not sure what kind of connector radioflyer uses but you could try soldering.

Much appreciate the suggestion and sounds much better than dealing with the tiny wires but the white portion of the LED strip won't light at all and he won't reply to PM's so I am stuck with some very expensive clear corners with switchbacks. I have seriously never seen stranded wires this small in my life in any application.

Upon further inspection, he wires the strips kind of "***** nilly". Normally when you are using clear stranded wire you use the silver conductor as "ground" and copper color for positive. I noticed on one of the lights that he used a copper as a ground. The only distinction between them is small pieces of masking tape which have "white", "amber" and "ground" written on them. In fact one of my $300 pieces of masking tape had nothing written on it at all. Seems Legit....

Lesson Learned...
