can someone explain to me how lowering our cars using stock stuff works? I come from cars that use coil springs and struts.
I see people talking about removing the bolts on the front to lower..and then ive seen some people mention tightening of the bolts to lower? how is this possible? seems like you would either losen or tighten to do one or the other.... how is it ? can someone explain exactly how this works....

i have searched and searched...but still dont exactly understand until I get under my own car. Does the bolt just act as a peg to press against the leaf spring..
Boom...this is what I was looking for. Looks like the rear works opposite of how the front does. Now I understand how removing the front bolt would work compared to the rear etc.
I tried to get mine up some-- as the front air dam drags over a pebble it is so low. I couldn't get it up much? when I tighten the bolt up front it isn't smooth pursuit. It kind of bounces back to where it was. I understand rear, but front I am having trouble. I have 2001 z06

Having trouble getting it up, are we? I believe there is a small blue pill designed for that exact problem...
Have the weight of the car on the suspension when raising front and back?
No.. I had it on jack stands after jacking up with puck. I tried both putting pressure on suspension and just hang. I am going to try again, as I need it to come up some. If I have a passenger, it just scrapes the air dam something awful...
